Public invited to discuss soundwall placement on I-84, between the Cole and Broadway Interchanges (Aug. 15)
Editor's Note: This public meeting will be held at the same time and in the same building as the public hearing on the I-84, Orchard to Gowen Interchanges project.
BOISE - The Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) is pleased to announce that the project to build soundwalls on westbound Interstate 84 between the Cole Interchange and Broadway Interchange is moving forward.
Information about the soundwalls including displays illustrating wall designs will be available at a public meeting, 4 p.m. 8 p.m.,Wednesday, Aug. 15 at the Boise Holiday Inn - Airport.
The walls will be built in stages. The public is encouraged to attend the meeting to learn details of the construction schedule.
Funding for the soundwall project will come from the GARVEE Transportation Program, which allows Idaho to use bond proceeds for needed highway projects.
