MEDIA INVITE: State Highway 16 groundbreaking event Monday
BOISE -- As the Idaho Transportation Department begins construction on the State Highway 16 extension project, we invite local media to join us for a groundbreaking ceremony this Monday, August 22.
Construction of phase two on the project is funded through Governor Brad Little’s Leading Idaho initiative. The new extension will run north to south between U.S. Highway 20/26 and Interstate 84, west of McDermott Road along the border of Ada and Canyon counties. It will tie into the existing SH-16 route, which continues north to Emmett.
On Monday morning, hear from transportation leaders about the significance of this project.
