Nampa/Caldwell repaving will move to Midland Boulevard area Saturday (Aug. 4)
BOISE - Work on the Nampa/Caldwell Boulevard will shift to the area between Midland Boulevard and Canyon Street on Saturday (Aug. 4), the Idaho Transportation Department announced.

Daytime paving will begin Sunday (Aug. 5), to complete the roadway between Karcher Road and Midland Boulevard. One lane will be closed in each direction at all times during the paving. The work is expected to last through Wednesday (Aug. 8), when crews will repave business driveways.

When paving is complete, traffic will return to two lanes in each direction during daytime hours. One lane will be closed at night while work continues between Midland Boulevard and Canyon Street.

Improvements to this segment will include sidewalks, curb and gutter on the north side of the roadway through a partnership between ITD and the city of Nampa.

The Nampa/Caldwell Boulevard repaving project will improve two miles of deteriorated road surface between Karcher Road and Northside Boulevard. Work began between Canyon Street and Northside Boulevard in May. The $5 million project is on schedule for a late-summer completion.

Central Paving Co. of Boise is the project contractor.
