New detour route begins Monday, Sept. 12 for the Ustick Road Overpass
CALDWELL – The Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) is moving to the next phase of construction on the Ustick Road Overpass project along Interstate 84 in Caldwell. Traffic accessing local businesses will be re-routed to a new detour this Monday, September 12, as work begins on the Notus Canal Bridge on Ustick Road.
Work on the overpass is expected to be complete in 2023. Once finished, the overpass will include two travel lanes in each direction with a center turn lane, and sidewalks and bicycle lanes on both sides. Replacing this structure will allow room for additional lanes to be built on I-84 as part of the interstate widening through Canyon County.
