I-84 westbound ramps at South Jerome closed Monday through Thursday
SHOSHONE  - Access to the westbound exit and entrance to Interstate 84 at the South Jerome Interchange will be closed Monday through Thursday (Aug. 6-9) as construction crews reconstruct and pave the ramps and overpass, the Idaho Transportation Department announced.

The westbound on- and off-ramps at milepost 168 will be closed from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. as the paving project progresses through the area. In addition, South Lincoln Street will be reduced from four lanes to two on the I-84 overpass on Wednesday and Thursday for repaving. The eastbound ramps will remain open.

Westbound traffic destined for Jerome should use the West Jerome Interchange, exit 165.

I-84 remains reduced from four to two lanes between mileposts 167 and 172 and is open to two-way traffic in the eastbound lanes only during this stage of construction.

A maximum width of 14 feet is allowed through the construction zone, and the speed limit is reduced to 65 mph. Delays of 10-15 minutes can be expected. The Jerome Rest Area remains closed during construction.

The project is expected to be completed by September.
