Employee compensation raised
for eighth straight year

For the eighth year in a row, ITD employees will see another boost in their paycheck, reflective of their great work. This year’s raises fell in line with Gov. Brad Little’s recommendation and followed the action of the 2019 Idaho Legislature. Eligible employees will receive a merit-based raise and an additional pay increase of $550 per year.

The eight straight years of raises follows on the heels of only one raise in the previous decade.

Also, similar to numerous previous years, the raises will come before the actual new fiscal year.

“I am also pleased to announce that once again ITD will not be waiting until July to reward you for making the department a success,” wrote Director Brian Ness in announcing the employee merit increases in last week's Direct from the Director. “You will see an increase in the June 14 paycheck as a result of your efforts to find more innovative ways to do your jobs.”

Human Resources sent a personalized e-mail to each employee showing the amount they will receive.  Please click here for a list of frequently asked questions and here for more detailed information about the FY19-FY20 Compensation Plan. If you have additional questions, please speak with your supervisor.

“I want to thank the Idaho Legislature and the Governor’s Office for making another compensation increase possible,” Director Ness wrote. “I would also like to thank the Idaho Transportation Board and the Executive Team for supporting the early implementation.

"Thank you for always finding ways to do your job better," Ness wrote. "As in past years, saving money allows us to implement these increases early. And it is your continued efforts that will help ITD become the best transportation department in the country."
