DMV employee Scurry takes reins
as new Executive Management Assistant Aug. 26

Niki Scurry, a DMV employee working in Dealer Operations for the past two years, takes the reins as a Management Assistant in Executive Management August 26.

Scurry was a licensing agent in DMV, and was a part of teams that carried out and implemented improvements to the renew-by-mail, GEM and Modernization efforts over the last few years.

“One thing we noticed immediately was the amazing way Niki approaches teamwork,” said ITD Chief Deputy Scott Stokes. “She has done amazing things to help multiple teams succeed in DMV.”

“While excelling at her individual assignments, she also notices and cares about the needs of customers and co-workers, and looks for ways to help”

Scurry is a 1997 graduate of Sweet Home High School in south-central Oregon. For the next 11 years, Scurry served in the U.S. Navy, earning a commendation for her role in the Global War on Terrorism - Naval Communications/Telecommunications. During her time in the Navy, she also earned a degree from the University of Phoenix in 2005.

Scurry started work for ITD as a technical records specialist in DMV in October 2017.
