ITD wins three international awards
for marketing & communication efforts

The department’s Office of Communication (with help from others) recently won three international MarCom awards for marketing & communication efforts. The awareness campaign for the expansion of the "Move Over" law won a Platinum award, while the first-ever video annual report won a Gold award, and the historical photo library was given Honorable Mention.

Emergency Manager Neal Murphy and Communication Specialist Reed Hollinshead coordinated the "Move Over" expansion campaign, Highway Safety's Bill Kotowski and Program Specialist Rik Hinton spearheaded the annual report video, and Graphic Artists Pauline Davis and Jared Tuttle put together the framework and marketing materials for the photo library.

MarCom is an international creative competition that recognizes outstanding achievement by marketing and communication professionals. Entries come from corporate marketing and communication departments, advertising agencies, public relations firms, design shops, production companies and freelancers.

Being a Platinum or Gold Winner is a tremendous achievement. The Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals has judged over 200,000 entries since its formation in 1994.

The "Move Over" message was picked up by 22 media outlets statewide.
