showcases employee efforts

A banner showing all of the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) President’s Awards won by the department over the years was recently hung outside the ITD Executive Management offices on the second floor of the Headquarters building in Boise.

The 18 awards, spanning the time from ITD’s first President’s Award in 1993 to the pair we received in August, are more than just a reminder of the department’s impressive performance among other state departments of transportation.

“All of ITD can be proud of these accomplishments,” said ITD Director Brian Ness. “Each award was the result of an entire team of employees pulling together. It reflects award-winning efforts by employees from across different districts and divisions, and shows that ITD is recognized as a leader among our peers.”
