Kellogg School District thanks D1 plow operators

At a special ceremony in February, the Kellogg School District handed out plaques to recognize the hard work of road maintenance crews in the area, including the 140 crew from ITD that mans the Cedars, Mullan and Osburn sheds.

“I know you all get a lot of complaints this time of year, and we wanted to make sure that you all know what you do throughout the school year is appreciated, and there are far more praises than complaints,” School Board Chairwoman Bonnie Farmin said.

Operator Chad Marang accepted the award on behalf of his crew, with coworker Tyler Carrico there to capture the moment.

“We have a lot of people that depend on us as an organization to get where they need to go daily,” Carrico said. “To be recognized and thanked by the school district helps us know that we are appreciated and that all our hard work and dedication is not going unnoticed.”

County and city crews were also recognized at the event.

Farmin shakes Marang's hand  as she hands off the plaque showing their appreciation.
