Winning streak continues:
Highway Safety's Teen Driving PSA
brings home another Rockie

Teen drivers most often learn from watching their parents, and the award-winning video from the Office of Highway Safety brings into focus just how much our actions as parents influence our children's behavior.

The "What Scares you Most About Teens and Driving" PSA earned a Boise Advertising Federation Silver Rockies award. The winning entry from ITD, together with consultant Duft Watterson, demonstrates how parents' fears of poor driving choices are the very actions teens observe in their parents.

"Being the mom of a soon-to-be teen driver, I can attest that it’s nothing short of nerve-wracking," said Tabitha Smith from the Office of Highway Safety. "We want to do everything we can to protect our children, and being the example of how to act behind the wheel is one of the most important ways we can keep them safe while driving."

The Rockies Award Show is an annual gala celebrating the creative works of Idaho advertising. Each year professional creatives from the state submit their best work for judging. The virtual awards show will take place on May 16, 7-8 pm.

This is the second advertising award the Office of Highway Safety has won in the last month and the third year in a row an OHS campaign has won at least one Rockie.
