Hunt's daughter, Mia Linh,
wins ITD art contest

Mia Lihn (pictured in corner above), age 6, daughter of ITD Design/Traffic Services' Mona Hunt, won the overall award in the recent art contest aimed at providing some normalcy and levity in a time of unique challenges and overall "heaviness." Below are the winning pictures from each age group, as decided by Director Brian Ness, Human Resources Administrator Brenda Williams, and a few deciding voters, when needed.

The contest was open to the children and relatives of ITD workers.

"It was an extremely close contest," said event organizer and D3 Safety Compliance Officer Eric Copeland. "We had go to a tie-breaker round for the 5-7 and 8+ age groups, as well as the overall Top 3 finishers."

Copeland borrowed the idea from District 4's Sarah Woolley. His thanks didn't end there.

"A huge thanks to Brian and Brenda for taking time out of their busy schedules to judge, and to my three tie-breaker judges: Althea Fackrell, Becky Showman and Janet Gregory, I’d also like to thank all of the kids who entered the contest and their relatives at ITD who helped them enter."
