ITD and IHFA refinance part of state’s GARVEE debt, saving $12.7 million
Idaho’s roads and bridges got extra help in June when a portion of Idaho’s outstanding GARVEE debt was refinanced, saving the state $12.7 million over the next decade.

Striking a pose for well-being
Practicing yoga may improve body, mind and spirit, but it also is a great way to have fun and make new friends. Five regulars and welcome drop-ins meet Mondays and Wednesdays in a quiet second-story space, located near Business and Support Management behind the main Headquarters' building in Boise. There, under the scrutiny of teacher Dawn White, the group is guided through classic poses and forms of breath control ranging from easy to more challenging.

ITD employees Tucker, Horrocks thanked by ISP for service and honesty
ITD District 6 employees Fred Tucker and Lynn Horrocks were thanked by Idaho State Police Lieutenant Chris Weadick, of Idaho Falls, for their honesty and customer-service focus for retrieving a lost wallet and turned its contents — including $400 in cash.

Idaho State Police seek to keep you and your family as safe as possible while celebrating our nation's independence. Public awareness and enhanced patrols have been found to be an effective tool in improving driving safety and reducing crashes.

Encore (06-26-15): ITD Director Brian Ness featured in AASHTO’s Two-Minute Roundup
In a “Two-Minute State DOT Update” produced by AASHTO, Director Ness discusses passage this year by the Idaho legislature of a package of revenue enhancements for transportation that includes a gas-tax increase. The increases are expected to generate $95 million annually.

Encore (-06-26-15): Maupin wins ITD statewide equipment roadeo
Trent Maupin, Sugar City maintenance, won the statewide equipment roadeo June 9 in Pocatello, qualifying to compete in the Western Regional Snowfighter’s Conference in Colorado this fall.

Brittany Grayson, the daughter of District 5 TSEA Pat Grayson, who works in the Engineering Group in Pocatello, is featured on Idaho State University's recent recruitment billboard, shown above. The billboard is located on Interstate 15 about a mile south of the district office.
