District 5 & 6
District 5 & 6 roadeos showcase new and developing skills
Practice make perfect … or at least close to it. Every year, ITD hosts an equipment roadeo in every district. Each contestant gets the opportunity to show off their skills, or at least try to obtain some. This year, District 5 and District 6 each held their roadeos in late May.

District 1
Wolf Lodge Overpass in North Idaho rebuilt to improve safety
A recent project in District 1 just east of Coeur d’Alene replaced the Wolf Lodge Interchange on Idaho Highway 97 with a taller, wider, longer interchange. The bridge structure is located on ID–97 over Interstate 90 at exit #22.

Bridge
Under-Bridge Inspection team focuses on safety
The Bridge Section inspection team joined with district bridge maintenance workers May 22-23 to host a safety and rescue training focused on the operation of their Under Bridge Inspection Trucks (UBITs). The operation of these trucks has been in the national spotlight after accidents in recent years.

District 2
ITD donations support learning and access in rural schools
Students at Prairie Junior-Senior High School in Cottonwood recently received 25 computers courtesy of the Lewiston office (District 2) of ITD. The computers have outlived their ITD warranties, but can still be used by others.

ITD sets the record straight about Targhee Pass
ITD’s Environmental Assessment for future improvements on US-20 at Targhee Pass has garnered much attention in recent months. Our goal is to find a solution that will extend the life of the roadway and, most importantly, help Idaho’s motorists SAFELY reach their destinations.

Northwest Anthropology Conference lets ITD collaborate with neighbors
The 71st Northwest Anthropological Conference, held in Boise in late March, allowed ITD Senior Environmental Planners Marc Münch and Tracy Schwartz to hear some great reports and collaborate with neighboring states.

New Processes
Forms Finder replaced by SharePoint July 1
Those who have used Forms Finder for years will need to take a new route to forms as of July 1, as the old system is replaced by another process.

New Emergency Procedures Book now available
With assistance from ITD employees, we are happy to announce the release of the new HHQ Campus Emergency Procedures Book. Limited copies of the book are available from Emergency Management, but you can find the digital version at the SharePoint site. District books will be released in the near future.
