Gold Fork River Bridge replacement south of Donnelly
Replacement of the 69-year-old Gold Fork River Bridge south of Donnelly, completed in late October, recently won a first-place award in the Structural Systems category from the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) of Idaho in their Engineering Excellence Awards.
The project was designed and built in just six months, on time and under budget.
Concrete Placing Company and design firm Horrocks Engineers chose to build a temporary bridge to keep traffic moving smoothly through construction, a decision that benefited the traveling public.
The project will be profiled at the ACEC of Idaho luncheon April 10 in Boise.
