DMV's Randi Bristol-Hogue chosen for AAMVA Leadership Academy

DMV Modernization Manager Randi Bristol-Hogue was recently selected for the 2018 American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA) Leadership Academy, which will be held late this spring in Arlington, Virginia.

Bristol-Hogue (pictured right) was one of 18 people selected from across the United States and Canada. The leadership academy provides professional-development opportunities for future leaders in the AAMVA community. This program features DMV employees who have demonstrated leadership potential and the ability to succeed in positions of greater responsibility within their agencies.

"It is an honor for both the DMV and Randi to be selected," DMV Administrator Alberto Gonzalez said. "Randi's participation in the leadership academy will strengthen her current skills and position her to take on broader responsibilities as opportunities arise in the department."

The week-long program will be held April 30 through May 3. It includes modules on defining leadership, team work and collaboration and organizational performance management. The program is an intense training opportunity focused on the unique characteristics of leading and managing a motor vehicle agency.

This will be the fifth year for the academy. AAMVA is considering offering two sessions per year in the future in order to accomodate more of the interested candidates.
