Participants give high marks to first-ever The first DMV County Leadership Conference was held last week in Boise for more than 150 county and DMV leaders, and participants gave the event outstanding reviews. The day-and-a-half event, meant to improve communication, collaboration and the sharing of best practices among county partners and ITD, featured 28 speakers and two breakout sessions. In the conference evaluation, 100% of the respondents thought the conference was well organized; 96% believed the conference topics were relevant and would be used in their jobs; and 98% want to participate in a similar conference next year. “I am extremely pleased with the conference,” DMV Administrator Alberto Gonzalez said. “People actively participated, asked questions and developed new partnerships. We gained a renewed sense of achievement in our past accomplishments and an optimistic view of the future.” Comments from the county participants included: - “The conference was fabulous. I think a lot has been accomplished in bridging the gap between ITD and the counties. I have only heard good comments from all who I have spoken with. I truly hope you continue them (the conferences).” - “Thank you taking the time to get us all together. I think this is a big step in the right direction to bring all of the Idaho DMV offices together and to have ownership of how things are done and feel part of one team.” - “The breakout sessions were great. I got to meet new people and develop new ideas.” - “I really enjoyed every aspect of this conference. I loved the variety of speakers and county examiner involvement.” - “I have a list of at least 15 items I plan to take back to my office and share with my co-workers.” Published 10-26-18 |
