Collins joins ITD as Financial Planning Manager

Justin Collins joined ITD as the Financial Planning Manager in the Financial Planning & Analysis section Dec. 26. Collins is responsible for leading the team, and guiding the process and tools for developing and maintaining the Idaho Transportation Investment Program and the department's annual appropriation.

Collins has been with the Ada County Treasurer's Office as financial analyst for the past year, and was with Clearwater Analytics prior to that. He is also an officer in the Idaho Air National Guard reserve.

"Some of the biggest challenges in society today are transportation needs," Collins said. "The rate of growth in Idaho, combined with rapid advances in technology, present unique issues as we move forward. I was attracted to this position because I want to be a part of the team that helps solve these issues."

Collins said he has some specific goals he wants to accomplish.

"I want to foster a collaborative environment that promotes an innovative team of leaders dedicated to continuous improvement, an agile attitude, and a cross-functional mentality. The biggest opportunities I see are to help the team identify areas of improvement and continuously look for the possibility to streamline a solution."

Collins graduated from Park University in Missouri in 2014 and earned his MBA from Northwest Nazarene University in 2016. He lives in Boise with his wife Jeneal and three children; Hayden (13), Jace (6), and Jaelynn (3).
