State Controller Woolf thanks ITD employees
for help on Project Luma

Idaho State Controller Brandon Woolf presented certificates of appreciation to a dozen ITD employees Feb. 21 for their help during the last few months on Project Luma, an initiative aimed at acquiring and implementing an Enterprise Resource Planning System that state agencies can use to unify budget planning, financial management, procurement, payroll, and human capital management.

The goal of the new system is to improve productivity and reduce costs by eliminating redundant systems, workarounds, and complexity.

Project Luma will also modernize business processes, increase transparency, improve decision-making, and increase data security.

Woolf was joined by Idaho Chief Deputy Controller Joshua Whitworth and Steven Detton, manager of Project Luma.

Woolf is responsible for accounting for all state expenditures by providing accounting services to state agencies, processing payroll for approximately 25,000 state employees, and operating the state’s largest data center.
