The
Bottom Line Oktoberfest
planned Wednesday at Headquarters Oktoberfest. Although the ITD employees organization DOROLCO has taken some of the suds out of the annual festival, the spirit remains in tact. Employees are invited to share the experience from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Wednesday (Oct. 13) in the Headquarters break room and adjoining patio area. Oktoberfest and accompanying fall safety exhibits are jointly sponsored by DOROLCO and the Office of Employee Safety. The menu includes a choice of German, Bratwurst or veggie sausage, condiments, chili, potato chips, pie and a beverage (sorry, no Bavarian beer). There is no cost to members of the employee organization or new enrollees; others will be pay $4 (collectable at the door). Today is the final day to register your choice of menu items. It must be done via e-mail (no paper tickets) at: VotingResults@itd.idaho.gov A number of safety-related displays are planned in conjunction with Oktoberfest. how to operate fire extinguishers Tyler James of General Fire, Inc., will give brief presentations at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. in the Auditorium. He also will provide hands-on training east of the garage to help take the fear out of using a fire extinguisher. The training is sponsored by ITD's Employee Safety office. |
