ITD’s mainframe computer, which houses a significant number of applications and data including Division of Motor Vehicles functions, will be taken off line for approximately three hours early Saturday morning. The brief interruption will enable a cadre of information technology experts to move data and applications from the department’s mainframe to its new host site at the State Controller’s Office in downtown Boise. The system will be down from about 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. “We have thoroughly tested all aspects of the migration and again will be testing Saturday morning with many other state agencies to ensure that we are fully operational,” explains project manager Dave Merriweather. “We do not expect any system issues from the migration, but if you do experience any problems after we cut over, please contact ITD Client Services at 334-8175." .
