ITD’s Treasure Valley employees struck gold in May. Efforts to use alternative transportation as part of the May in Motion campaign garnered “gold” status for ITD, announced Janelle Catlin, coordinator of employee transportation. She and other ITD representatives attended an awards luncheon this week to accept the honor. May in Motion is sponsored by Ada County Highway District and Commuteride to promote the use of alternative transportation as a way to reduce congestion in the region and improve air quality. “I would like to thank everyone who participated in the May in Motion this year,” Catlin said. “We accomplished our goal this year. We were up 11 percent from last year by using alternative transportation.” Gold level status, she explains, comes with some tangible benefits:
ITD received the award based on offering four alternative transportation incentives and subsidies, four internal promotions and achieving at least 10 percent participation by employees. Published 6-29-07 |
