Evacuation exercise planned for State Street Center When ITD evacuated the main buildings at Headquarters in Boise last fall, occupants of the department’s State Street center remained at their desks. They were exempt from the evacuation drill. But they will get a turn in mid-April, according to Bryan Smith, the department’s emergency program manager. “In an effort to catch them up to speed with the new evacuation procedures, a tentative date of April 16 at 10:30 a.m. has been set for the center to have its own drill,” Smith said. The emergency monitor, Glen Samuelson, reported that he had met with all Bridge staff last year and will refresh them on the procedures before the drill. He also will meet with the right-of-way monitors Rick Bachmeier and Carmen Reese to inform them of the process.
