Board to hear report on pavement testing
A pavement testing process that has been used successfully the past 15 years will be described in detail for the Idaho Transportation Board when it meets at Headquarters in Boise this week. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. Thursday in the auditorium.

Campaign urges teens to avoid driving while stoned
ITD joins a coalition of safety officials that recently announced a renewed effort to educate parents and teens about the driving-related risks of marijuana use. Recent findings published in the Journal of Studies on Alcohol show that high school students are more likely to drink, smoke cigarettes, and smoke marijuana during the period immediately after earning their drivers' licenses.

Moore chosen to lead ITD's research efforts
Matthew Moore has been selected to be the new Research Program Manager responsible for implementing the findings and recommendations necessary to bring ITD's Research Program to the next level. The position was created following a study of ITD's research needs by Dr. Michael Kyte of the University of Idaho's National Institute for Advanced Transportation Technologies (NIATT).
