Salary
plan moves into fast lane
The
transportation departments FY2005 plan for allocating
salary increases has been approved by the State Transportation
Board, ITD Director Dave Ekern, and the Divisions
of Human Resources and Financial Management.

now moves forward at a quickened pace...

Moe
Detmar, a driving force behind Idahos Division
of Motor Vehicles the past 27 years, announced recently
that he will retire this summer. His last work day
will be Friday, July 2.

12 project at Lewiston finished well ahead of schedule
When ITD designers contemplated
a schedule for reconstructing a half-mile segment of
U.S. 12, they figured it would take about 70 calendar
days and wrote the contract accordingly. Acme Concrete
Paving of Spokane said thanks, but well be in
and out in far less time.

PERSI
to phase in rate increase
State employees who
participate in the Public Employee Retirement
System of Idaho (PERSI) will contribute slightly
more to the account beginning July 1. The rate
for general member employees will increase by
.37 percent, or from 5.86 percent of their gross
salary to 6.23 percent.
