Rough
ride to Atlanta
The
remote community of Atlanta became even
more isolated this week when heavy runoff
sent James Creek beyond its normal banks
and washed out portions of
theMiddle
Fork Boise River Road. The county road
is the primary route to Atlanta which
is about 50 miles east of Boise. The other
route to Atlanta, James Creek Road, also
is closed to all but emergency traffic
because of snow drifts at high elevations.
About 45 people call Atlanta home on a
year-round basis. (ITD photos by Mark

in the United States. Not only does
a legitimate license allow individuals
to drive a car, but it also often
is required to board a commercial
airplane, open a bank account, cash
checks, enter nightclubs and confirm
state residency.
