Sixty
seconds that punctuate
a lifetime
By Sen. Mike Crapo
Sixty
seconds; 24 haunting notes; shorter than most
pieces of music, but more powerful in its
simplicity and clarity than possibly any other
musical composition in America, and more familiar.
Taps stops people, literally or figuratively,
in their tracks, calling up memories of those
who fought for our country and have since
passed on.

traffic by traveling outside peak travel times

holiday traffic control project will assist
motorists at the intersection of Idaho 55 and
Banks to Lowman Road on Monday afternoon and
evening (May 30).

Whether
for their beauty, drought tolerance, or hardiness,
native plants are being utilized by many land managers
to enhance plant diversity, restore native habitats,
and promote long-term healthy plant communities. When
planted in their native environments under appropriate
conditions, native plants can be very hardy, and rarely
need additional water or fertilizer. Native plants
can also compete with and reduce undesirable or invasive
plants that have adapted to disturbed conditions with
limited water or nutrient resources.

decided to ride his bicycle to ITD on National
Bike to Work day, he knew he was in for
more than just a leisurely pedal on a bright
spring morning. White, who lives in Mountain
Home, rode for three hours to get to work,
and he did most of it on the Interstate
84, sharing the road with semi-tractor trailers
and other vehicles whizzing past him at
75 miles an hour.
