Hocken recognized for outstanding customer service, compassion
A few days ago, a note to Driver Services employee Pamela Hocken’s supervisor expressed heart-felt kudos from a panic-stricken customer thanking Hocken for compassionate service during a trying time.
Here is what was written:
Dear L. Helton
You have a very valuable employee — Pamela! When I called I was in panic mode, she took the time to calm me down, explain her understanding of my feelings (which she expressed compassionately and respectfully). She is articulate, discerning, treated me with dignity and was never condescending or impatient. Through her I felt peace for the first time in over two weeks. She explained why I felt so fearful and took the time to repeat it until I “Got It.” I only wish she also worked at the state of Washington. She’s a deep breath of fresh air. So glad she’s in your employ!!
