The FY 2004-2008 Statewide Transportation Improvement Program
(STIP) is available for public review. The document identifies
approximately $1 billion in transportation-related projects
planned for construction through the year 2008, plus those
in preliminary development.
The Idaho Transportation Board approved the projects included
in the fiscal year 2004-2008 STIP at its September meeting
in Boise, and then submitted it to the Federal Highway Administration
and the Federal Transit Administration for approval.
Copies of the STIP were distributed in mid-January to numerous
public agencies and an extensive citizen stakeholder list.
To obtain a copy of the document, individuals may contact
the Division of Transportation Planning at (208) 334-8272,
mmcneese@itd.idaho.gov or P.O. Box 7129, Boise, ID 83707-1129.
The STIP is also available online at www2.itd.state.id.us/planning/reports/category.htm
The ITD district offices in Coeur d'Alene, Lewiston, Boise,
Shoshone, Pocatello and Rigby also have copies available for
review.
