Vision Services Plan (VSP), which provides vision benefits for Blue Shield subscribers, recently changed the way State of Idaho employees access its data base. Instead of asking employees to provide their Social Security Number for identification, VSP will ask members for their Regence Blue Shield member identification number.

When contacting VSP by mail, phone or the Internet, please use the number that follows XNA from your Blue Shield card to retrieve account information.

Anyone who experiences difficulty retrieving information from VSP should contact the State of Idaho Office of Insurance Management at 332-1860, or 800-531-0597.
