The Bottom Line

Class to teach how to drive defensively

Employee Safety will present a course that leads to certification (or recertification) for the Defensive Driving Course. Employees who drive State vehicles are required to take a Defensive Driving Class every three years.

This class will be Wednesday, May 19, from 8 a.m. to noon, and will be in the District 3 conference room at the Chinden Boulevard location.

Those interested in attending should complete an ITD-0733 Nomination for In-service Training form and send it to the Human Resource Development office. For more information, contact Michelle Rowland at 334-8570.

ITD acknowledged for blood drive contributions

Proving it's better to give than receive, ITD employees in Boise have continued to meet blood drawing expectations, according to the Lewis and Clark Region of the American Red Cross.

Employees at District 3 and Headquarters were honored on the March 2004 "100 Percent Club" for meeting or exceeding blood drawing goals. This marks the third consecutive month they have topped the mark. Employees are encouraged to watch for local American Red Cross drawings and stand in line with rolled-up sleeves. The monthly draw at Headquarters will be Thursday (May 13) in the East Annex conference room. For information about that blood draw or to schedule an appointment, contact Lea Lewis at 334-8002.
