How do you protect yourself from aggressive drivers?


Here are some simple suggestions to keep you from becoming a victim of aggressive driving:

  • Most important, eliminate aggressive driving from your own driving behaviors.
  • Always wear your seatbelt and be sure children are safely restrained in the back seat.
  • Drive defensively.
  • Drive as predictably as possible. It helps other drivers avoid crashing into you.
  • Use signals to indicate lane changes.
  • Make a complete stop at stop signs.
  • Slow down as you approach yellow lights.
  • Stay within speed limits.
  • Drive at a safe following distance.
  • Allow ample time to reach your destination.
  • Be polite and courteous. Drive friendly.
