Strait, Fox promoted to new positions Mark Strait and Liza Fox have been named to new positions that evolved from the departments restructuring process. Strait has been promoted to Highway Safety Grant Manager for the Idaho Office of Traffic and Highway Safety, while Fox was chosen for the new position of Chief Technology Officer. The grant manager position is the result of merging the Office of Highway Safety and the Traffic section in August. Strait will be responsible overseeing a grant program that directs federal funds to safety-related projects. Fox has been manager of ITDs Geographic Information System section and has more than 20 years of technology-related experience. She also served on the states ITRMC staff and taught at universities in Idaho and Virginia. We are excited to have Liza join the ITD Leadership team, and we look forward to her being an integral part of the IT transformation we are undergoing in the department, said Sue Simmons, administrator of Administrative Services in announcing the appointment. Fox begins her new duties Tuesday (Sept. 7) while Strait already has assumed his new responsibilities. |
