ITD earns international awards from AAMVA

ITD recently earned two international awards from the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA). The Public Affairs and Consumer Education (PACE) awards recognize creativity, cost effectiveness and the ability to reach customers through public affairs and consumer education work.

“These awards are a real ‘feather in the cap’ for our staff,” said Pam Lowe, DMV Administrator. “Not only does it reaffirm the quality of work ITD employees do, but it’s equally gratifying to gain this level of recognition from our counterparts around world.”

The award-winning entries were:

  • Externally produced brochure, produced by District 3 Public Affairs and Traffic Section
    “Frequently Asked Questions: Speed Limits”
  • Displays/Exhibits/Presentations, DMV staff,
Western Idaho State Fair – DMV Booth

Both entries previously garnered awards at the regional level. AAMVA’s Region IV includes 21 western states and Canadian provinces. Two additional entries also earned recognition at the regional level:

  • Special Purpose/Annual Report
    “Transforming Transportation”
  • Externally produced web site
    www.XTR4.com

Entries are judged by a panel of public relations and communications practitioners from outside the AAMVA community. Each entry is judged on how well it meets its objective, creativity and quality of production.
