Administrative workshop set for Sept. 23 Frederick Wilcox said, Progress involves risks. You cant steal second and keep your foot on first. And you cant have progress without change. If nothing changes, youll stay on first base. Changes
are constantly occurring in the transportation arena, and the focus
of this years Administrative Workshop is change, with a theme
of Riding the Waves of Change. Administrative support staff
from throughout the state will meet on Sept. 23 at the Nazareth Retreat
Center in Boise to learn about the changing world of ITD and how to
cope with it. Speakers will include Kandy Weaver, former Garden City city council member, with 4HR Guiding Success talking on Riding the Waves of Change. Other highlights include Information Services Manager Mark Richardson on the information technology transition efforts, ITD Director Dave Ekern on transforming transportation: building the next generation for Idaho; and Janet Brown reporting on the travel teams efforts. The Administrative Support workshop committee, chaired by Tammie Jauregui, wants to thank the department for its continued support for this valuable event. It is an important opportunity for support staff to learn about changes affecting their jobs, learn about the overall mission and responsibilities of the department and enhance their professional and personal lives. |
