Eric Shannon, P.E., named new District 3 Engineer District 3 has a new District Engineer, and he is a familiar face. Chief Engineer Jim Ross Thursday announced Assistant District 3 Engineer Eric Shannon will replace Pamela Lowe, who was promoted to head the Division of Motor Vehicles last month. Eric brings a wealth of experience to this position from both within and outside this department," said Chief Engineer Ross. As Assistant District 3 Engineer for the last three-and-a-half years, he also understands the critical issues this district faces. Prior to Shannons position as Assistant District 3 Engineer, Shannon served as D3 Regional Engineer, overseeing the WYE Reconstruction. He also worked as an Associate Construction Engineer in Headquarters Construction and as Construction Staff Engineer in D3s Region 3 in Caldwell. Having spent the majority of the last ten years working for District 3, it is an honor to serve in this leadership role, said Shannon. I have the utmost respect for the employees of this district, and look forward to our challenges in the years to come. Shannon also worked as Engineering Supervisor for the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Bremerton, Washington, after receiving two promotions during his ten years at the shipyard. His education includes a Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, New York, and a Master degree of science in Systems Management from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles. Eric and his wife, Laura, live in Caldwell with their four children. |
