ITD introduces new letterhead, business cards

Evolution to new e-mail addresses and a plan to standardize the appearance of some ITD printed material prompted the design of new letterhead and business cards that will go into effect Jan. 1.

The new year will bring print-on-demand letterhead that provides users with flexibility in ordering and eliminates the need to stock large quantities. Two templates will be available, one containing a single page with a new design on the top and a list of Transportation Board members on the left side.

A second template is designed for letters that require more than the initial cover page.

The new design is available in one color (blue) for use on color printers or black only for printers that don’t have color capabilities. If the latter is used, writers are encouraged to make signatures in blue ink to help distinguish the original from a photocopy.

The letterhead should be used for all official ITD correspondence.

A limited supply of pre-printed letterhead will be available from the districts and central warehouse. Employees should stop using the old letterhead, effective Jan. 1, 2005, and recycle existing stock or return it to the print shop where it will be recycled.

Access information:
To access both letterhead templates, go to "FormFinder" on the Intranet using the link to the left. In the Title field of Form Finder, type letterhead and then search. Links to both forms will appear. To access the template for business cards, type 0105 in the Form Finder field marked "Form No" and then select search.

The letterhead template is available on the Intranet, through “form finder.” The Intranet address is: http://intranet/Apps/FormFinderSearch/Search.aspx For technical assistance, contact Bobbi Lamb at Headquarters, ext. 8600.

New business cards will standardize the wide array of cards now used by ITD employees.

To ensure department-wide consistency, only the information designated on a business card request form (ITD 0105) will be permitted.

Cards will contain the following information:

  • Name
  • Job Title
  • Idaho Transportation Department (this mandated line will be printed automatically)
  • Address
  • City, State
  • Zip code
  • Phone numbers: office, fax, cellular, etc.
  • E-mail address

The e-mail addresses will use the new format: First.Name@itd.idaho.gov

To order new cards:

Obtain an ITD 0105, Business Card Request form on the Intranet Form Finder at http://Apps/FormFiunderSearch/Search.asp

Complete the ITD 0105 form and include the coding on the bottom

Headquarters employees should submit the form by e-mail to their supervisor for approval. The supervisor then will submit the form by e-mail to Tracie Robbins in purchasing.

Incomplete forms or those with information not requested on the form will be returned.

Employees in ITD districts should submit the form by e-mail to their immediate supervisor, who will in turn submit it by e-mail to district supply personnel. Supply officers will forward the requests to Robbins in purchasing in Boise.

Employees are encouraged to order business cards now to avoid the January rush.
