District 1 employees in Coeur d’Alene took center stage recently as part of a statewide employee appreciation event that honored workers for their service to Idaho.
“It was a fun-filled day on May 19, with approximately 137 employees attending our annual employee appreciation barbecue and health fair,” said Scotty Fellom.
As part of the event, area vendors from Costco, Idahy Credit Union, Wells Fargo, Deferred Comp., PERSI, Gold’s Gym, the Lions Club's Wellness Mobile and others shared information with “our greatest assets… our great District 1 employees,” Fellom added.
Members of District 1 management barbecued hamburgers and hot dogs. The celebration included prize giveaways, a floorshow, employee service awards and free health screenings for diabetes, hearing loss and blood pressure, along with free eye exams.
“It was a day for laughter, touching base and for everyone to get together and appreciate the dedication that our district employees have for the public, our roadways, construction and most of all…to each other as we work together day by day.”
