Employees who made changes to their health and dental plan should check their June 17th paycheck stubs to ensure that the correct premiums were deducted for July, encourages the ITD Human Resource Services staff. Anyone who believes there is an error in the withholding for health insurance/dental premiums should contact Carlin Hill in the HR office at Headquarters or their respective district Business Office personnel. This year’s health and dental rates are listed in the Open Enrollment brochure. Information provided by the Office of Group Insurance indicates that premiums for participants in Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) plans are unchanged for the coming year while the traditional plan increases slightly. (See chart below) Dental premiums also reflect a slight increase but rates for supplemental life insurance remains unchanged. State employees and their dependents will see the same basic medical plans for FY06, according to the Office of Group Insurance. There are no changes to the basic medical, dental, prescription or vision benefits. Wellness benefits have been improved and voluntary disease management programs will be available to employees and their dependents with the start of the new plan year (July 1). New payroll deduction amounts began with the June 17 pay date.
