Residents of the Treasure Valley have indicated they want to better understand transportation funding. Some have a sense that funding is inadequate; others believe that current funds may not be managed as efficiently as they could be. Let’s get to the truth of the matter when transportation officials talk money during their presentation “Transportation funding: Where does the Money Come From? Where does it go?” The presentation will be Aug. 17 at the Idaho Historical Museum, 610 Julia Davis Dr., and beginning at 7 p.m. Speakers will include: • Charles Trainer, Director of Planning, COMPASS The presentation is free and open to the public It will be one of a series that COMPASS will offer this summer to respond to questions and concerns that people have about growth and transportation issues. As a result, COMPASS has brought together experts to present information and answer questions. Ultimately, COMPASS hopes that presentations such as these will provide the public with a common language about the issues and will keep them informed, involved and engaged in community processes.
