Interoperability on DVD

Idaho Transportation Department,

This letter is to express appreciation on behalf of the Idaho Statewide Interoperability Executive council (SIEC) membership for the valuable assistance brought to the mission of the SIEC this past year by Dave Tuttle, television specialist for the Idaho Transportation Department.

As the governing body for emergency response communications in the state of Idaho, the council is keenly aware of how critically important information sharing and interoperability is for the response community in our state and across the nation. This information sharing takes on many forms, but none as powerful as that delivered in a well-produced DVD.

Dave took the lead in this endeavor by dedicating many hours to produce the SIEC’s second generation DVD during the latter part of 2005.

His contributions to the state of Idaho and the SIEC are bringing increased knowledge about interoperable communications and its critical need in these uncertain times

Without a doubt, Dave’s efforts made a difference.

Chief R. Mark Lockwood
Chair of the Statewide Interoperability Executive Council

Extra effort appreciated

Dave Tuttle,

I recently received a letter (see above) from Mark Lockwood, chair of the SIEC, extending his appreciation on behalf of the SIEC membership for all of the assistance you have provided them over the past year.

Chairman Lockwood mentioned how much he appreciated your taking the lead in producing the SIEC’s second generation DVD and for all the hours you have given. The DVD will be extremely beneficial in sharing emergency response information with agencies within Idaho and across the nation.

I realize that participation on this project was additional work for your already full calendar. I want to thank you for representing ITD in such an excellent manner and for showing such dedication to your job and the department. We are fortunate to have such committed employees as you.

Davis S. Ekern, P.E.
Director, Idaho Transportation Department
