Smoke-free zones designated at Headquarters

Beginning today, ITD has designated smoke-free areas near each building entrance on the Headquarters campus, specifically the Supply Building, the Annex and the Headquarters Building.

Individuals who smoke near one of these buildings, are advised to stay at least 20 feet away from the entrances while smoking.

The 20-foot smoke-free zones have been established to reduce the tobacco smoke entering the buildings through open doors and affecting staff in hallways and nearby offices.

The ash cans will be moved to accommodate the smoke-free zones and “No Smoking” signs have been placed near some entrances.

Questions can be directed to Mike Morehead, ext. 8850.
