District 3 Roadeo winners announced

Juan Salinas of Caldwell emerged the top competitor in this year's District 3 Roadeo that tests the skills of employees who operate dump trucks and front-end loaders. Jeremie Gregory (Marsing) and Brian Inwards (Lowman) finished second and third respectively.

Robin Freeman of Council was the first-place supervisor at the district event held in New Meadows.

All of those who placed earned spots in ITD's state roadeo event scheduled later this month in Orofino. Winners of the state competition will advance to the national event in Colorado.

Organizers of the District 3 Roadeo express their gratitude to all who helped judge at the annual event and to those who cooked, and especially to employees who competed. They also thanked the crew in New Meadows for the time and effort dedicated to hosting the event. Next year's host site will be in Mountain Home.
