Short-term merit increases to end June 30

ITD employees who qualified for and have been receiving short-term merit increases since February will receive the last one on their June 30 paycheck.

The Transportation Board authorized the short-term merit increases in January; the increases began to appear on employee paychecks on the February 24 pay date.

Beginning with the first paycheck of the new fiscal year – July 14 – checks will be reduced by the amount of the short-term merits. The merit increases, which ranged from 5.5 percent to 9.5 percent and coincided with the short-term merits, are permanent and will remain part of employees’ base salary.

Employees who have questions about their checks should call their respective personnel technicians at district offices or Human Resources at Headquarters.
