Administrative support workshop
to attract employees from throughout Idaho

Administrative support staff from throughout Idaho will assemble at the Nazareth Retreat Center, 4450 N. Five Mile Road, in Boise Sept. 14 for the 18th annual Administrative Support Workshop.

The all-day professional development workshop provides an opportunity for ITD’s administrative support staff to learn how to do their jobs better, improve relationships with others in similar positions and exchange techniques for success.

On-site registration takes place from 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. at the conference center. Transportation Board Chairman Frank Bruneel will join workshop chair Judy Rogers (Division of Planning and Programming) in welcoming more than 100 administrative support staff expected for the event.

Other sessions planned throughout the day include:

  • A message from former First Lady Patricia Kempthorne
  • Mark Munch, ITD archaeologist
  • Tom Fry, coordinator of ITD’s special license plates program
  • Garry Young, coordinator of Scenic Byways
  • Deputy Attorney General Karl Vogt, ITD’s chief legal counsel
  • Gwen Smith, Public Involvement Coordinator
  • Team-building exercise

The workshop wrap-up and evaluation are planned for about 4 p.m.

A number of door prizes will be awarded at the workshop. Organizers still need door prize contributions from ITD staff, said Shauna Riggas who has been coordinating the prizes and helping assemble contents of a workshop welcome bag.

Anyone who has items appropriate for a door prize can contact Riggas (shauna.riggas@itd.idaho.gov) in the Public Affairs Office at Headquarters, 334 -8005 or Julie Gray at 334-8480 (Julie.gray@itd.idaho.gov) .
