Commuters asked to respect neighbors

ITD Headquarters is a 44-acre oasis surrounded by a busy five-lane street, the Boise River greenbelt and residential areas. One of the two routes accessing the campus is Jordan Street which bisects a residential area directly to the east.

One of ITD’s neighbors recently complained that employees routinely speed from 27th Street to the east entrance of the department’s campus.

ITD administration reminds employees the posted speed limit on Jordan is 20 mph and that children frequently walk from an adjacent apartment complex to and from school. Safety is our highest priority.

Equally important, all ITD employees are encouraged to be good neighbors and respect those who live along access routes, whether near Headquarters or any other ITD workplace.
