Middle school students learn of ITD careers

Facing a continuing loss of skilled and experienced workers through retirements and turnover, the transportation industry has recognized the need to recruit and retain new employees.

If you ask ITD employees in District 5, planting the seed of a transportation profession can’t come early enough. So they recently reached out to middle school students with a career fair at American Falls.

“This is the second year that they participated in the jobs fair, and both the school kids and our ‘kids’ seem to find it to be a good time and a great learning experience,” said District 5's Wayne Curtis.
