Health screenings offered at HQ

The annual HQ blood screen clinic is scheduled for Wednesday, March 14 in the HQ Auditorium. To sign up use this Web site link: www.mysignup.com/ITD . Please register your preferred time slot by Monday, March 12.

The cardiac risk profile is a good way to check your cholesterol and is available without a doctor's order to anyone older than 18 (family members also are welcome at this clinic). Other blood tests also will be available but must have a doctor's order. See the attached flyer for more information and pricing.

Unfortunately, none of the blood screen fees are reimbursable through the state's Blue Cross insurance. The insurance provider is enforcing a provision that health fair screenings are not a covered benefit.

Still these tests, like the cholesterol screening for $25, are a simple and inexpensive way to monitor your health. If you miss this annual ITD clinic, please have recommended blood work done by your physician on a regular basis.
