Executive team minutes available for review

ITD’s Executive Team recently began posting meeting minutes on the Public Folders in Outlook. Minutes from the Jan. 22 and Feb 5 meetings are available for review by employees who have access to Public Folders.

Minutes can be found under Executive Team, meeting minutes, 2007. The Executive Team meets monthly or more often as determined by the director.

DoRolCo sponsors annual Easter coloring contest

Sharpen up those crayons. DoRolCo will sponsor an Easter picture-coloring contest March 19-30 for children ages 2-11 of ITD Headquarters’ employees.

Contest coloring sheets will be available Monday (March 19) at the lobby kiosk. Completed entries need to be returned to the kiosk by April 2. Judging will take place April 3, and awards will be given April 4-5.

The winners in each age group (2-3, 4-5, 6-7, 8-9, 10-11) will receive special prizes, however each child entered will receive some form of recognition.

Presentation planned on pavement video van

Learn more about the latest videologging/pavement survey equipment and software during special presentations by Pathway Services Inc. Several sessions are planned Monday (March 19) in the Headquarters’ auditorium.

Repeating sessions are scheduled at: 8:30 a.m.-10 a.m.; 10:30 a.m.-noon; 1 p.m.- 2:30 p.m.; 3 p.m.- 4:30 p.m.

Pathway Services Inc. specializes in automated road and pavement condition surveys.

Topics to be covered include:

- High-resolution videolog imaging
- Super resolution linescan surface imaging
- 1280-point scanning laser technology for rutting
- Three dimensional road surface plotting
- GPS-based collection with direct import of basemap Shape files
- Voice animation and integrated routing mechanisms
- 360-degree, single-image capture camera
- Distress/crack detection and analysis software
- Road geometrics, including heading, grade and cross-slope
- Network-level deployment for the Internet, intranets, local and virtual environments
