HQ photo contest to kick off appreciation week

ITD employees at Headquarters can demonstrate their visual talents by participating in a new photography contest as part of 2007 Employee Appreciation Week, May 7-11.

Events are being planned throughout the week to celebrate the contributions of state employees. The photography contest is open to all Headquarters employees who are considered “amateurs.”

Participants can submit one photograph in each of the three categories: Animals and pets, nature and black-and-white. Entries should be 4x6 inches or larger. Photographs and a completed entry form should be sent to Michelle Rowland or Janelle Catlin in HRS at Headquarters no later than Friday (May 4).

Photos will be displayed at Headquarters, and winners will be based on viewer balloting between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., Monday, May 7. The winning entries in each of the three categories will receive a $15 gift card.

Details of other Employee Appreciation Week events will be available in the May 4 Transporter. Districts that are organizing events to honor employees, whether during the designated week or later, are encouraged to contact Mel Coulter at 334-8005 (mel.coulter@itd.idaho.gov ) so information can be included in the Transporter.
